MessageI disagree, and am suprised the NFP would propose such a bill! A business which doesn't provide a vital service and cannot survive on it's own should not exist, as it's continued existence violates supply and demand - the very tenets of capitalism.

Messageoo good point coming from right field (or whatever position capitalists play) Will there be an alteration to the proposal with this newfound perspective? I don't know...but we'll find out soon enough.

MessageNo offence KNP, but who are you to lecutre me on being against Capitalism when you voted against KPP's Capitalist Bill a while back?

This bill will stimulate economic growth by giving help to businesses to get off their feet. The governemnt helps people who are unemployed get on their feet, so why not help businesses that have taken a turn for the worst get back on their feet? - After all, the governemnt would end up paying the same amount in unemplyment benefit if the business fell through the roof, why not give those funds to the bsuiness, keep those people in employment, protect jobs, stimulate economic growth and attract investment and multi-nationals to the country with the knowledge that the government is pro-business. - In most RL countries, business grants are common.

MessageThis isn't pro-business. This is anti-capitalism. The fact is that helping every single business which is doomed to failure is going to cost far more than doling out EI for a year to that businesses employees, who will, most likely, find another job.

Furthermore, subsidising businesses which have more expenses than revenue, which this will do, is simply a ridiculous waste of government funds and a ridiculous notion.

MessageAlthough, I understand KNP's rational for opposing this and how it is not completely economic, I would argue that nationalizing failing strategic industries is even less capitalist. Therefore, this is at least a step in the right direction.
