Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2488
Description[?]:
Accepting the need to guarantee the ecology of the Second Imperial Republic, whilst accepting the pressures that Local Government are already under in order to provide for local services to their communities, the Government will, henceforth and with immediate effect, take control of maintaining all forestry protection throughout the nation. The National Forestry Agency will work with both Local Government and Private Companies in order to maintain the balance between the ecology of the locality and the Nation as a whole whilst also allowing for Private Companies to operate and provide services within the community and compete on International markets. In order for this to operate fully, Private Forestry Companies will require licences before any felling of forests are allowed. In doing so, the National Forestry Agency will allow for the local ecology and local economy to be seen within the wider national context whilst reducing the pressures on Local Government. |

Date | 14:23:31, November 19, 2007 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Forestry Protection Act |
Message | By federalising and so introducing a competitive localised market in which local governments are forced to compete whilst increasing taxation as local governments are forced to pay for environmental issues that they otherwise weren't forced to. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
