MessageThe government can do that using the Internet, or by telling private media outlets, who will then send out the information. We will not support a government brainwashing of the population.

MessageHow is it considered brainwashing when viewers and/or listeners can simply change the channel? We're talking about media outlets which co-exist with private media outlets as well. It would be brainwashing if the government subsidized every media outlet possible, but these are two stations amongst a vast multitude of viewing and listening possibilties.

MessagePeople are still being forced to pay to spread ideas they might find vile. If everyone was required to pay a private TV station, even if they didn't have watch it, it would be just as bad. Forced speech is not free speech.
