Message | I am afraid that we cannot support these articles because of the following reasons. Articles 1, 2, 3. I. The Aldurian people are morally conservative and have elected a government which has won several successive elections on a programme which has openly been directed at reducing sexually promiscuous behavior. II. The unborn child is an individual in a vegetative state, as for a person subjected to involuntarily euthanasia. We are civilised beings and do not kill those human beings who cannot, temporarily or permanently, express their own interests. III. Alduria need a population growth which supports the elderly care system, since we need young people who could replenish the labor force and take care of our elderly, paying taxes. Article 4. I. The problem is related to 1.III, in that we cannot allow misuse of a particular drug since that would mean a growing black market. The war on drugs cannot be compromised. Article 5. I. Personally, I think this solution is the worst imaginable, since universal healthcare is central in creating a society not divided by class. When the middle class also could get dental care, healthcare and high cost operations without paying insurance fees, they will also support the healthcare of those more economically unfortunate. II. Low-income people will be stigmatised and due to demands of tax-cuts for the middle class (which do not longer earn anything on the public healthcare that remains), they will see their health erode as money shrinks. That will eventually mean that we will create a permanent under-class, which could lead to increased social tensions. Therefore, the RP/WF cannot and will not support this bill under it's current conditions. |

Message | My response to the RP/WF's reasoning for not allowing any abortion is that what do we do with those women who are violently raped and become pregnant with a man's child that they had no intent in knowing? So the solution is we tell them to live with it and look at that child every day for the rest of their lives to help them remember that one horrible day that the tragic event happened? |
