Message | Disagree with articles 2 and 4. We fully support the other two. A more moderate proposal that would allow private schools but still provide free and public education would be preferred, and for article 2 we would prefer a compulsory public pension system with an optional private one, or both optional. |

Message | On pension system - ok we propose both private and public systems to be optional. As for the schools... we don't need public schools everyone will be able to afford to send his child to the private one thanks to the voucher system. Also, we will abolish political influance on the education. |

Message | What about those children that aren't "disadvantaged" and just over the line of qualification? It is a very scary place to be as families battle costs in numerous areas and then have this bill brought to their attention, and adds just another expense for the working classes. Education is necessary for the growth and prosperity of the nation, and the government should have to provide for it. Free up the education system to provide a real choice to parents. Give them the public option and the private option with vouchers for low-income families so they can provide their child with a private education if they see fit. Isn't "freedom of choice" what this is all about? If we see positive results over a period of time, such as lower unemployment, then SocLib '82 will consider privatizing the education system completely. |

Message | There is no such thing as "free" education, we do pay for it while we pay taxes. If we establish a free market in education prices will go down, thre will be more schools that will have a better quality of teaching. We have to cut taxes and give the money back to individuals and especially to the parents. |

Random quote: "The European Union and environmental advocacy groups use global warming hysteria to advance their own special agendas. The European Union recognizes any significant reduction in CO2 emissions by the United States will significantly reduce its economic output, thereby bringing it closer to the inferior output of European nations. Environmental advocacy groups work to stifle economic and industrial progress wherever they find it to inhibit the successful advancement of peoples in developing nations, inevitably making mankind a second class citizen of planet Earth." - Dr. Jay Lehr |
