Bill: We Must Be Prepared
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2101
|These are hard times, my friends. After a difficult decision, action over the Fascists has been taken.|
However, the worst may well happen now that this course has been plotted. The NSP will not step aside in its fascist goals. We will almost certainly be on the end of violence and assisantions. This could become WAR.
We cannot let this happen. This time, the threat is upon us.
If it does, from the moment this bill passes, security will be increased to the maximum we can take it. All citizens shall be put on red alert, and advice in case of an emergency shall be given out. Citizens will be advised to stay alert and report any matters of suspicion to the Government.
And lastly, the proposals. We beg of you to vote this in, and I swear that after the threat is gone, we shall revert and change these back. I swear this with the utmost sincerity. If I go back on my word, I swear to you that this party shall resign. This isn't time for games.
For the safety of our citizens, these laws must pass. The threat is real this time.
I beg leave.

|Message||I particularly regret Article 3, however non-lethal weapons are not as useful against the masses (the YRSP).|
Article 2 is obvious.
Article 1 is needed. Why? Because even if the meeting itself doesn't pose a threat, those meeting in the group could easily be under threat. If there is a bomb threat or tip-offs or suspicious activity, the best thing would be for these people to be split up and moved in case of an attack.

|Random fact: By default, the Head of Government is the ultimate figure of authority in the Cabinet/government. By convention, Heads of Government are expected to consult with and gain the approval of Cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) for their actions, but they remain ultimately responsible for what the government does. Cabinet Ministers who disagree seriously enough with the Head of Government would usually be expected to resign, although of course their respective parties can manoeuvre to replace the Head of Government by proposing a new Cabinet bill or triggering an early election. The Head of Government may dismiss a Cabinet Minister and replace them with a chosen temporary replacement. In practical terms it may not always be possible to arrange this through the game mechanics, but the dismissal and replacement will be recognised under the Game Rules if the player controlling the Head of Government simply puts forward a bill, announcing the change.|
|Random quote: "Up against the corporate government, voters find themselves asked to choose between look-alike candidates from two parties vying to see who takes the marching orders from their campaign paymasters and their future employers. The money of vested interest nullifies genuine voter choice and trust." Ralph Nader|
