Bill: Religious Schools
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2491
Description[?]:
Accept that there is no difference between a religion and a cult. Religion (n) - a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. Cult (n) - a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. What is to say Christianity is not a cult? The billions of people who believe that it isn't? Does belief make truth? No. If you strip down Christianity to its bones, you'll find a "cult" of people who believe in the second coming of a man who could "walk on water" and "heal the sick" two-thousand years ago. |
