Bill: Immigration Policy and Refugee Policy (Part 1)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2493

Description[?]:

As we understand, it is the privilege for every nation to be lord in its own house. It is also the decision of all nations whether they will aid other nations if asked or if needed. We have and always have had the policy that noone should interfere with our national decision other than our parliament and the population of Hobrazia. Therefore we propose this bill to stop our nation from interfering with other nations. Especially if they are ruled by incompetent leaders elected by a ignorant people. It is not the responsible of our nation to take care of other nations failede policy.
If the parliament decides, further aid can be given, but this should be decided on a case by case basis and furthermore demand a simple majority.

If further aid is given the parliament can decide whether it will demand some democratic demands in the contract. It should be possible to demand that nations who recieve hobrazian aid must initiate and operate democratic meassures and peacefull intentions if they are to recieve it.

MessageAlthough harsh the reality is that this bill is the most logical way of dealing with this situation.

MessageWe disagree that changing the article would be an improvement. Currently any aid supplied by this nation is reciprocated in them allowing Hobrazian companies trading rights within those countries, opening markets that might otherwise not be available to us, or otherwise supporting our political position on the world stage. The loss of this economic and/or political support could be damaging to Hobrazian interests abroad.

MessageIn that case we believe that this bill would not be any improvement on the current legislation.

MessageWe understand that the WSS!P with this policy is more interested in abusing the people of the poorer countries rather than helping them? Isn't the idea of aid, that we are interested in helping those in need of it? Instead of trading rights we should help develop the countries.

We have included a ammendment to the proposal. It is written in the description.

MessageFurthermore we want to argue this new ammendment. This way we can tempt the nations in question to turn their backs on tyranny and despotism, relying on democracy and friendship with Hobrazia, and in that way increase our economical interaction with them.

And as a response to the WSS!P, we would like to state, that nothing is keeping our companies out of the receiving nations with this new legislation. They are free to enter and interact with other nations as they wish. Why should this government assist in doing immoral acts to favour hobrazian industries? Let them do that on their own if they wish, and let us then stop this with other legislation, demanding that hobrazian companies can't interact with dictatorships or rouge states unless they can reassure they are implementing democracy meassures.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
