Message | The Imperialist party notes a discrepancy in the current statutes. Whereas, Trigunia currently bans the production, purchase and storage of biological and chemical weapons, this nation still reserves the right to retaliate against a weapons strike involving a bio/chem weapon with a bio/chem weapon of our own. |
Date | 08:24:27, August 26, 2005 CET | From | Imperialist Party | To | Debating the Chemical/Biological Weapons Bill |
Message | Either one or the other of the above proposed articles should be accepted, merely in order to make the statues clear. The Imperialisty Party would like to argue in favor of Article 2. Biological and chemical weapons are simply inhumane, and should never be used regardless of the circumstances. We think that this nation should never demean itself, and sink to the inferior morals of its enemies. Even if this nation were attacked first with one such weapon, our response should be conventional. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
