Bill: Permanent early elections

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Green Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2493

Description[?]:

It seems that we are often agreeing to early elections for one reason or another. Perhaps we can learn from this and simply decrease our election cycle. Our populace is more likely to be civically engaged if they can plan for elections instead of being subject to the whims of the Majlis.

Message28 is as good as 25 in our book. Any reason to prefer that number?

Message25 months x 4 hours = 120 hours = 5 days....nasty...what about 7 days? The we can arrange elections to happen at Saturday or Sunday only.

MessageWhy the hell did I come out with 120 hours?
Mispelled, 100 hours is like 4 something days...very unstable.

MessageWell, this one was already on the table for a bit, so I'll put it back out there and see what folks think. If there's a general consensus that we should be somewhere in between this number and the current one, we can try something different.

MessageIf we're going to go that low, why not 24?
24*4= 96 hours = 4 days.
At 25 months, it's like every 4.1666 days or something.
