| It is the belief that all people are entitled to be safe and protected when gathered in public. As such, this bill will mandate an expenditure of funds, necessary to the task, to install security cameras in all polling places as a measure to prevent voter fraud. Local police agencies will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and gathering the data from these cameras. Additionally, local law enforcement must transmit, either electronically or physically, the data from the cameras to the central, federal, law enforcement agency(es). The data received from these cameras is forbidden in usage beyond necessary security measures to ensure a smooth operation of the polls without fraud. Any use of the data or tampering with cameras and their equipment will result in a fine of not less than $500 or 60 days imprisonment with all fines going to the national general operating budget. The cost of installing, maintaining, repair, and incidental fees will be paid by the towns and cities where the cameras are housed. |
