Bill: Acte de l'Immigration et Nationalité de 2492
Details
Submitted by[?]: Front Nationaliste Royaliste
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2494
Description[?]:
Nationality and Immigration Act of 2492 The Front National pour Rétablissement has been trying to reform and improve our horrendous immigration and nationality system for decades. Presently, Rildanor is organised as a free-for-all for the world's wretches. We allow anyone and everyone to enter our country, without distrinction or regard to security or the welfare of Rildanorians. The FNR finds this situation utterly repulsive, and therefore requests that the Sénat de Rildanor take immediate and conclusive steps to rectify this. |

Message | We are, for the sake of the future of Rildanor, willing to, within reason, compromise on the measures being proposed. However, immigration reform is crucial and thus we should not delay the implementation of such reforms. |
Date | 22:48:51, November 27, 2007 CET | From | Option Citoyenne | To | Debating the Acte de l'Immigration et Nationalité de 2492 |
Message | Perhaps consider making a distinction between undesirable immigrants, and genuine refugees fleeing oppression. There's no reason not to welcome our fair share of real refugees. |

Message | "Only refugees that are victims of extreme circumstances are welcome; they are given integration-aid." We're not cutting off immigration and asylum, rather, we are simply replacing this free-for-all mess of a system that is a handover from the mismanagement of various Rildanorian parties. |
Date | 03:08:28, November 28, 2007 CET | From | Parti Monarchiste Catholique | To | Debating the Acte de l'Immigration et Nationalité de 2492 |
Message | Colleagues, For article 1 we would support, "The government does not actively search for illegal aliens, but expels them from the country when discovered." For article 2 we would support, "Quotas are based on individual applicant's qualifications." For article 3 we would support, "Anyone receives nationality but immigrants must pass a test to gain nationality." We believe that the law should allow for naturalization. We support articles 4 and 5 as they are. We realize these proposals are not exactly what you are looking for, but they would be an improvement on the current situation while not straying too far into isolationism. |

Message | We feel that in order for Rilindor to remain free we must allow anyone who wants to come to come. If a person wants to move here, by all means let them; and if they want to be a citizen, then that is even better... another taxpayer and economic asset. |
Date | 01:00:00, November 29, 2007 CET | From | Front Canrillaise | To | Debating the Acte de l'Immigration et Nationalité de 2492 |
Message | We will support this measure to protect the Rildanorian blood. |
Date | 05:13:29, November 30, 2007 CET | From | Parti Communiste de Rildanor | To | Debating the Acte de l'Immigration et Nationalité de 2492 |
Message | We do not believe Christian doctrine would support much of the actions this bill would initiate. |

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer. |
