Details
Submitted by[?]: Red Hammer Council
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2495
Description[?]:
If Trade Unions go on strike, they do that to express their malcontent with certain (social) regulations and work-related situations. To allow solidarity between the different workers and trade unions, we want to allow secondary strike actions and sympathy strike actions. |

Message | as long as a majority of the union members agree for strike action for it to go ahead in any case we will support this proposal |
Date | 06:38:56, November 30, 2007 CET | From | Judicial Union Party | To | Debating the Red Dawn Agenda (xxvii) - Secondary Strike Action |
Message | This is ridiculous. Why should an entire industry which provides well for its workers be subjected to arbitrary strikes? When workers of a particular industry strike, the employers can stop the strikes by providing higher wages, better conditions or the like. Employers of unrelated industries cannot do anything - they are helpless. |

Message | Opposed. Solidarity is good, but the entire nation shouldn't go on strike because the employees in one company aren't happy with their work situation. That's crazy. You're commiting a hold-up against our nation's economy. |

Message | They are not helpless, secondary strike actions increased the pressure on employers/government to do something about the situation. |
