Bill: Striking Rights and Restrictions

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Socialist Party of Darnussia

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2496

Description[?]:

"The union's primary weapon is the strike. By allowing employees to fire any worker who goes on strike, that weapon is left impotent. We propose that when workers go on strike, they should be allowed the right to make their argument heard and effective. That an employer only be allowed to fire striking workers only if the reason for their strike is deemed trivial and unreasonable. This way, workers are still given a reasonable amount of power in order to argue for their own case and employers may disrupt it if that argument is unfounded or ridiculous."- Andrew Giddeon
