MessageIf you step outside of the institution of 'society', you can no longer claim the benefits of society.

Absolving oneself of the responsibilities of human civilisation (like not murdering your neighbours) absolves one of the 'rights' inherent in human civilisation.

We see no reason why murder should not earn the death penalty. If you don't like the idea of being executed, just don't murder people...?

TDP, we are supportive of this bill b/c the death penalty actually gives RELIEF to hardened criminals.

Think about it: if you were convicted of murder and to choose to either serve the State via HARD LABOR for the remaining of your natural life from "sun up to sun down," OR to get administered a "Lethal injection" needle by a cute little nurse, which would you choose???

That's right: a criminal would DEFINITELY prefer the latter (haha), so the CWFP says give them the former (haha).

MessageThe TDP may be primitive (by choice), but we are not barbarians. Death penalties should be carried out humanely (although we're not sure where the CWFP conjures their sordid little 'cute nurse' fantasy from), but they are not 'punitive' - they are curative. You excise the infection, just as you do with disease.

The CWFP might like the idea of criminals being forced to dwell in misery. On the other hand, in most cases, there is nothing productive about that, and no real justification for it.

This kind of vindictive thinking makes us glad that the CWFP are a third-tier party...

Actually, TDP, our party fought to put REHABILITATION in the prison system in addition to hard labor. For example, prisoners are EDUCATED so when they leave they are productive members of society.

MessageThat's a nonsense. If someone is - as the CWFP said, going to: "serve the State via HARD LABOR for the remaining of (their) natural life from "sun up to sun down,"", then they will not be "productive members of society... when they leave"... because they won't leave!!!

Rehabilitation is irrelevent to lifers and the deathrow condemned.
