Voting deadline: March 2496
Description[?]:
"When it all is really boiled down, ultimately we are not citizens of Zardugal, we are citizens of Terra. We all owe something to everybody else on our fine planet, regardless of nationality. We would not evict a person born here who wishes to reside here, so where is to justification to deny residence to someone who was not fortunate enough to be born here? Class-struggles are universal and not confined to Zardugal alone, we must break down these barriers seperating us from our international brothers. All of us, all citizens of Zardugal are brothers to the international community. People should have no barriers to moving wherever in the world they please, and Zardugal should be one of the first to take up this initiative. In addition, it will provide an invaluable addition to our labor pool, increasing Zardugal's economic prosperity in the years to come. Let us open the doors of Zardugal to the world's people who clamor against them, for if we do not open those doors they will break them down and destroy us. Make the right decision, and thank you for your time." -Daniel Vladimirovich Feterokov, in the proposition speech to the National Directory |

Message | "Zardugal is a vast land. The Liberty Party doesn't see why legal foreign nationals can't come here and reside permanently. Of course, they'd all be subject to regulation if they wanted to become citizens, but if we grant all foreign nationals permanent visas upon request, millions of foreign nationals could pay taxes to their foreign government while spending all they're money here. As non citizens, they wouldn't have access to our public institutions, so they won't become drain on the system either. The vacuum they'll create will mean a massive boost for the economy, as not only corporations are experiencing massive sales, but their difference cultures and the sheer number of them will mean many more businesses will start up, which means more jobs for Zardugalies and the foreign nationals. Being foreign nations, and not citizens, if they broke our laws they'd be deported as soon as possible. We'd have the best of both worlds." ~Ruben Memorial, Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister |
