Bill: Military Efficiency Act of 2496

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kapitalist-Arbeitsfamilien Partei

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2497

Description[?]:

This bill simply asserts that it makes absolutely no sense for the Government of Likatonia to not produce their OWN weapons and aircraft bombers in order to cut military expenditure in HALF by removing the illusive "middle man" (private defense contractors). However, this bill does NOT "nationalize" defense industries that are currently in the private sector but just simply allows the military to build its own weapons' equipment and be SELF-sufficient.

Thank you for your full support.

TDP, the CAPITALIST Working Families Party DESPISES communism. In fact, this bill even ALLOWS the private ownership of defense industries.

However, we feel that it is only COMMON SENSE that the Government (who acts as a PUBLIC TRUST of the People) ought to get the highest return on its investment and if the military produces and manufactures its own equipment, that would save the taxpayers billions of LIK.

MessageSo - direct involvement is cheaper than the 'competetive market'? Auhtoritarian control is preferable to the free market?

Not only are the CWFP promoting communism, they are promoting STATE communism. Immeressen would be so proud.

The problem for the WCFP is - we judge you not on your pretty words, but on your petty deeds. You CLAIM to hate communism, but you usher in your 'red direction' unannounced. We see through your trickery.

TDP, this bill does NOT abolish competition b/c private defense industries are still legal.

COMPETITION does lower prices if the State is providing services like heathcare and education to the people. However, in this case, the state is using military equipment ITSELF.

However, if a private defense contractor can produce the same amount of weapons more EFFICIENT that the state owned company, then the CWFP's position is that the private company should sell its weapons.

MessageThe CWFP does not convince anyone with their attempts to confuse the issue. Either nationalising is good, or it is bad. This idea that sometimes the free market is better and sometimes not, makes a liar of the previous CWFP claims.
