Message | OOC: this will be my last bill today. I am going to be a bit busy soon this week, I think, so I have a few now that I can bring to vote after a bit of debate :) The Liberty movement urges all parties to endorse this proposed legislation. |

Message | Strongly opposed, it is in the best interest of the child that the people who want to adopt him or her undergo several tests and follow a programme to determine whether they are fit to adopt and raise a child or not. We can't have just any drunk idiot adopting a child. And then there is the possibility of trafficking in children we must consider, with private companies that can happen whereas it can't happen with government regulation of adoption. |

Message | There are just some things we must regulate in the best interest of the child. We are suprised to see you support this LIP, you claim that abortion is wrong, yet you support allowing any person (including aggressive drunks) to adopt children. |

Message | "Adoption is regulated by private, recognised organisations." does not equal "Anyone may adopt a child even if they are drunk and tied to a lamp post at the time." |

Message | Very much for. Private companies can regulate this much better than the government can. We comment the Liberty Movement for putting forth this legislation. |

Message | Very much for. |

Message | The government can do this much better, because without regulation those private organisations can do EXACTLY that. ( "Anyone may adopt a child even if they are drunk and tied to a lamp post at the time.") If you are going to propose this bill, I would like to request that at least you include a review board to see whether someone is capable of raising a child. |

Message | Yeah the private organisation = review board. |
Date | 20:18:39, August 29, 2005 CET | From | RSDP - Democratic Front | To | Debating the Act Reducing Bureaucracy in Adoption |
Message | No, a review board to overview those private organisations to ensure their candidates are fit to raise a child and to prevent child trafficking. |
Date | 20:33:06, August 29, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Imperialist Party | To | Debating the Act Reducing Bureaucracy in Adoption |
Message | There is no need. The whole point of the private organisations is to do that same job. |
Date | 22:38:13, August 29, 2005 CET | From | Radical Freedom Party | To | Debating the Act Reducing Bureaucracy in Adoption |
Message | We will take the suggestion of a review board to the subcommittee, where we will look at it constructively. |
