Details
Submitted by[?]: Vanuku Corporate Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2497
Description[?]:
The VCA proposes to localize police and forestry services. We suppose that the national police agency has some wildlife conservation rangers, thus the two are not entirely unrelated subjects. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Forest management.
Old value:: There is a national agency which owns and manages all forest land.
Current: There is a national agency which owns all forests, but subcontracts the work to private companies.
Proposed: Local governments may set up forestry agencies. Where they do not, forestry is on a commercial basis.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Policy on the organization of police/law enforcement
Old value:: There is a national police department, funded by the government.
Current: There is a national police department funded by the national government and there are local police departments, funded by local governments.
Proposed: The operation and funding of the police is left to local governments.

Message | I'd like to ensure our forests are still there for our future generations, and that our police force run efficiently as one unit, localization of law enforcement simply seems to cause rifts and miscommunication between precincts. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
