Bill: Vanuku Flag Proposal
Details
Submitted by[?]: Vanuku Corporate Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2498
Description[?]:
We submit the following proposal: Vanuku's flag is sound: A bold yellow star, the laurel wreath. A crisp white color. However, a yellow object on a white field is often difficult to discern at a distance or when a graphic of the flag is shrunk. We propose to add two blue vertical stripes to the flag as seen in the proposal. It is symbolic: Vanuku is an isthmus, bordered on two sides by ocean, represented by the blue. It draws the eyes toward the center of the flag where the gold star is It also makes it a bit easier to see that there is something in the middle when at a distance or when the image is shrunk down to fit somewhere. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
