Bill: Budget proposal of October 2498

Details

Submitted by[?]: Supporters of Science in Design (IP)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2499

Description[?]:

The Supporters of Science in Design propose cuts that are relatively evenly distributed across the board in order to eliminate our current multibillion MCR yearly deficit.

We avoided proposing cuts to Food and Agriculture and the Head of Government's departments, due to their already small budgets. Infrastructure and Transportation has a large budget, but we do not feel it should be cut, for the quality of its work is a key component to the health of the country.

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.
