Bill: Right to Strike

Voting deadline: July 2499
Description[?]:
"It is a fundamental right that cannot be stripped away at the whim of the reactionaries. An integral factor in maintaining the worker-employer relationship and ensuring that the worker is granted some means with which to combat the exploitative measures of the capitalist is the right to strike and deny the capitalist his labor. It is an expression of worker's power and worker's freedom, denying them this basic right will lower productivity and morale, and plant the seeds of discontent that may one day flower into a revolution that we Revolutionary Socialists would welcome, but hope is unnecessary. Vote with your conscience, for what is right for the workers and right for the nation. Thank you for your time." -Daniel Vladimirovich Feterokov, in the proposition speech to the National Directory |

Message | "Workers are free to refuse to work. If they refuse to work because it's unsafe for them to work or their conditions are that of a slave, the Courts may forbid employers to fire them. This way, workers can't abuse their powers and employers can't abuse there's. It's a perfect balance." ~James Allan, Shadow Trade and Industry Minister |
Date | 18:23:52, December 11, 2007 CET | From | Saiserist League | To | Debating the Right to Strike |
Message | "Who decides whether they're being reasonable or not? Courts bought and bribed by the richer capitalists, it is what happens in the past and will continue happening under such a system. If workers choose not to work they will not be paid, and that is fair, but allowing the capitalist to terminate them puts all the power in his hands." -Natasha Danielovich Feterokov, Undersecretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party |
