Message | With this proposals every sensibility on this matter is respected , with an advice: the freedom of the individual must be preserved: if a family doesn't want the religious service for their son , her decision must be respected, and every child could pray according to his own religion. Democratic votation of the families is the better solution in our opinion. |

Message | we strongly oppose; Jelbania is a christian nation and children should be taught christianity, including prayer. Christianity is civilization and a bullwark against modern hedonsism. |

Message | impose a faith surely is not the better way to pacificate and "moralize" our society, the only way is multiculturalism and tolerance. |
Date | 20:40:46, December 11, 2007 CET | From | Social Liberal Party - D.L.J. | To | Debating the Freedom of religion act - May 2499 |
Message | We support, schools should not impose religion on children |

Message | If Jelbania is so Christian as you say then what is the problem with letting the schools decide? You know why the FMDP does not think so? It's because they want everyone to do everything their way and that is a sign of authorotarianism. |

Message | We do support the current policy. Prayer should be encouraged as it provides individual reflection on the path each one of us has taken in life and the decisions we have have made - as well as becoming closer to Christ. Instilling the value of prayer early on will benefit children as they grow up. The current policy does not mandate prayer, it only encourages it. However, the policy that is proposed is not all bad - it allows for the schools to decide. This seems to be a very good compromise from a secular party like the Socialists. |

Message | We don't believe either that prayer brings children closer to Christ is a good argument either. Some children are born and raised as Moslem, Hindu, Jewish, or perhaps another religion that does not define Christ as a divine individual. We don't believe that children should have their home upbringing and wishes of families completely compromised at the expense of wanting state mandated prayer in school (If children want to pray, they can pray). However like the UCC we support the new proposal. |

Message | Not strong enough. The NBP would support a ban on school prayer. We must abstain. |

Message | We prefer the current policy, but will abstain in order for this adequate bill to pass. The last thing we won't is increased tension over religious matters. We truly appreciate this effort to compromise from the parties of DLJ. |
