Bill: Bill for a Second Republic

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Federalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2500

Description[?]:

Believing in the inherent evil of an Imperial state, the Hobrazian Federalist Party aims to restore the Republic of Hobrazia, this time a Second Republic, in order to show the image of a peaceful and prosperous free-market nation abroad. While this will not make the Second Imperial Republic end, it will reform it, and eventually lead to its demise.

MessageWe will not support this as we helped establish the second imperial republic which resulted in long lasting peace and prosperity with unity and fellowship. Especially the conflict between FPoH and the HPP were toned down with the initiation of the Second Imperial Republic of Hobrazia.

MessageWe will not support this bill.
We have no concern over this nation being tyrannical, we know that it isn't, and we fail to see the advantage to our people of, once again, renaming the nation and it's elected positions. Moreover, we will not use funds to spend on further bureaucratic expenses, not just renaming the nation but, as this bill intends, to actually increase the number of bureaucrats by adding yet a further layer of government. For a Party that says they want to "bring power to the people" and "reduce government" we do believe the HFP puts rather a lot of government increasing policies forward.

MessageWhat is in a name, the title of our proud land has no bearing on the current situation and to change it would be a break with a tradition instituted by our forefathers and would be a great disrespect to our heritage.

MessageThe first party is a staunch monarchist party, we would never accept the change of the name, and creation of a republic again. As the saying goes "if it ain't broke don't fix it"
