MessageExplain the purpose of voluntary issue of ID cards. Especially since this voluntary issue would cost a large amount of government funds. Even if we charged for the cards, we could not charge full price or no one would buy them, and therefore we would have wasted money building the facilities to make them and distribute them, and paying staff that do nothing.

MessageUntil there is a reasonable explanation for what we see as a blatant waste of our nation's funds, we are voting no. But you may be able to sway our vote.

MessageA reasonable explanation is that the people should be able to identify themselves if they wish! There are no further costs as the same agencies that print driver licenses could print ID cards as well. People wjho don't drive, but would like and ID should have the ability to get one. It would be inexpensive and very little extra time for someone to snap a picture and print the card at agencies that already exist!

MessageThe BCI should be proud to be from Barmenistan and not keep the people from showing their pride too!

MessageHad this not already passed, we would have changed our vote because of the SSK.

We do not, however, agree with the second statement. That is neither a valid reason nor valid statement. We do not believe in unconditional loyalty. A state should give something to get anything back. It must be great for it to rightfully expect people to believe it great and be proud of it.
