Description[?]:

As you may already know, our government was recently asked if it would help in an internal struggle.

"A Plea for help from the Pan Sekowo Family Values Party

We ask you to help us in a civil war against left wing seperatists in our nation of Sekowo. Their declartion of civil war can be found here http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=161059, as well as our response. A plea was made to get them to listen to reason, it and there aggresive response can be found here http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=161065 Their actions are in blatant violation of democratic principle, and threaten to plunge our nation into militant socialist, secular rule.

Rather than follow democratic process, these extremists have chosen war, spiting in the face of hundreads of years of democratic tradition. If this precident is to be set in Sekowo, then anyone, left or right wing, who is un hapy with the will of the people of their nation, could feel free to start an armed uprising. These extremists represent a threat to democracy on a global level.

We urge you to send members of your militia, or even your nations military, if it can be spared, to help save the Federation of Sekowo from these socialist extremists. We are out numbered and in desperate need of your help. Sending party militia, or even your nations army to help us could save many lives. Thank you. The nation of Sekowo will be eternally greatful to any who help.

Thank you"

We shall open the floor to discussion.

MessageThe Supporters of Science in Design will oppose any military action until a budget is passed that eliminates our deficit - which is currently over 2.5 billion MCR. The upcoming election will be a time for the people to show the Parliament that leadership must be endowed with the responsibility to fund the actions it takes.

OOC: I imagine that SSD will take a stance on the war - but not until after elections.

MessageIt is not for Malivia to intervene in the affairs of other nations, whether we are invited or not. This is not our conflict.

MessageWe agree with the NCPM. Malivian's should not die for other nations security. We do however whole hardly oppose and communist expansion and urge Parliament to look into providing aid to Sekowo.

MessageYou clearly don't understand our position. We are arguing against any form of intervention, be it economic aid or military force. It is not for us to get involved in this, it is a matter of self-determination for the people of that nation. Aid can flow after the war is ended.

MessageWe apologize for our misunderstanding. But surly the NCPM supports the continuation of democracy in Sekowo? The rebel’s obviously follow the chaotic dogma that all communists follow, mass rebellion and oppression. They have no respect for the state or its people.
OOC: Also I am sorry about the horrible wording of my last post, I don't know how that mess got through.. here.

MessageIf democracy continues by virtue of the majority of the people crying out for it and instituting such a system, then yes, we support it. However, should the Communists represent the majority of the people, it is with them the NCPM would side, irrespective of our views on Communism. It is, as I said, a matter of self-determination for those people. Our intervention in any form would distort and dilute the will of the people, making it a less democratic decision for them, and the NMP, surely, would not want to do anything undemocratic.

OOC: I...think...all that made sense...

MessageWe do not believe that we can give support to either side in this conflict. We must agree with the NMP with regards to supporting democracy. However, we ask what our policy should be with regards to individual parties sending military, economic or political aid to either side without government support.

MessageFrom the information gathered it is evident that this is a domestic dispute which does not involve any nation other than the one in question. We will therefore oppose any direct or indirect intervention.
