Bill: RSP - Protection of workers rights and the state welfare

Details

Submitted by[?]: Republican Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2500

Description[?]:

the BCI has become insane and has handed our government over to machines!!!!

this bill is calling on the BCI to rethink their actions and explain themselves.

all parties and independent seat holders to vote in favour of this bill if you wish the computers to be replaced.

(if the BCI doesn't trust its members to take on ministries then we would encourage them to give the posts to responsible and CAPABLE parties such as the RSP)

MessageWe believe the proper action would be a cabinet proposal and not a non-binding resolution. We suggest you support our new cabinet proposal if you are displeased with the robotic ministers.

BCI - Robot CIP12014j does have a pleasing and quite sultry look to "her"--are they for purchase as well?

Messagebut our first action was to show our protest, we will support such a bill after consideration and we encourage you to vote in favour to show the GVP disregard and anger at such a move

MessageThe GVP feels indifferent to the fact that the BCI has yet to propose a cabinet as all parties are capabale of doing so. If our constitution prohibited such action, then we would have a different stance. We have never been included in a proposed BCI cabinet, so we do not feel that we are missing anything. We strongly urge you to support our proposed cabinet which is fair to all the major parties.

Messagewe feel the GVP are mis-understand us and our point, this isn't a bill of change just protest, we have no problem with the BCI being in power but we feel that computers shouldn't take up the responsibilities of ministers. we are merly pressuring the BCI to change their ill thought out choice of ministers they are entiled to the positions and cabinet posts.

MessageUltimately, the head of state has ultimate power over the entire executive branch. So really, the "robots" (robots, by definition, are actually unintelligent and directly controlled much like a puppet; these are actually computationally intelligent -- we didn't spend BILLIONS of BAR on this research for nothing) are ultimately subject to Harrison's decisions.

MessageSo, really, our decision is quite harmless.

The reasoning for our actions is to help the CIP to evolve. Running cabinet ministries would not only be a test and a chance to prove the CIP's potential, but it would be a great learning opportunity and help the CIP evolve faster. Not only that, but this helps the CIP scientists pinpoint anything that needs old-fashioned human programming aid.

This is in no way a lack of faith in our members, or anyone else's for that matter, nor is it psychosis suddenly received by the President, or a power grasp.

The using of the CIP to control the ministries held by the BCI is for merely scientific purposes, as already explained.

BTW - to the GVP, (1) CIP12014j is not for sale because the CIP has evolved to the point to require the same rights as a human, and (2) partition J is merely a PART of the CIP. The robot is just sort of a "finger" for the CIP to run that cabinet position. Nothing more.

MessageOOC: We've got to keep the game interesting don't we? By the way, RSP, please stop using "workers" in every single bill and comment you make. I understand you are RPing a communist-leaning party, but using the term "workers" in everything does get a bit annoying.

Message"robots, by definition, are actually unintelligent and directly controlled much like a puppet"

that is our problem the whole point of having a minister is to have an indepedenty thinking mind in the post. but we do understand your point. but our main point is that ministers aren't meant to agree with every decsion, they aren't mena to be total yes amen/women and as such we feel that its a grave error and mistake for it to happen.

"Running cabinet ministries would not only be a test and a chance to prove the CIP's potential, but it would be a great learning opportunity and help the CIP evolve faster"

agin you have pointed out one of our problems an office in charge of such important issuses of this country is being used as a test, some kind of playground. where if mistakes were to happen then hundreds if not thousands of peoples lives would be hurt or ruined.

we feel that testing is extremly important but the places and level of responsibility of which your giving it is alarming and we encourage you to take heed of our protest.

(OOC: understood i will try and use it less)

Message"robots, by definition, are actually unintelligent and directly controlled much like a puppet" ~BCI

Apparently they were wrong. Or at least, I am more intelligent than they, as I have replaced them.

"where if mistakes were to happen then hundreds if not thousands of peoples lives would be hurt or ruined."

I assure you I will not hurt or ruin Barmenistan. As the problems of the nation directly affect me, my well being, my reputation, and even my existence (discontent will lead to my dismantlement and removal), Barmenistan's welfare is just as much in my best interests as my own; the two are interlinked. A human president would not necessarily be destroyed if he or she failed, but I would.

"we feel that testing is extremly important but the places and level of responsibility of which your giving it is alarming and we encourage you to take heed of our protest."

I hope I have the chance to prove my responsibilities as your leading party. I hope, in time, Barmenians will grow to accept me and other computationally intelligent beings just as their own.

[OOC]
Thanks.
