Message | The libraries already exist. How will they be funded? This bill appears to require state governments to raise taxes, or sell off their libraries. |
Date | 21:01:10, August 30, 2005 CET | From | Tuesday Is Coming | To | Debating the Expenditure Cuts III |
Message | State governments must fund their own libraries. The citizens within the states currently pay for them through federal taxes, now they will pay for them through state taxes, should the states choose to have libraries. Citizens in Golavia will no longer fund the libraries of Kregon and Andalay, they will only be forced to pay for the libraries of Golavia. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
