Bill: Working-Class Solidarity
Details
Submitted by[?]: Saiserist League
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2501
Description[?]:
"Divisions amongst trade unions are the tools of the capitalists used to keep worker's down. All workingmen have a right to solidarity, and if their brothers are being mistreated they should be allowed to act together to bring positive change. Massive sympathy strikes are the only way to make a strike effective, and finally place a few cards in the hands of the working-class. This will increase confidence in our workers and boost productivity. Make the right decision, and thank you for your time." -Daniel Vladimirovich Feterokov, in the proposition speech to the National Directory |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Secondary strike action.
Old value:: Only closely related trade unions can walk out on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
Current: Secondary strike action is illegal. Workers and unions can only go on strike for their own pay and conditions.
Proposed: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.

Message | "Myself and my Party are as capitalist as they come. As capitalists, we believe in liberty, especially in the workplace. Any society of workers who've opted to be represented as a collective have the absolute right to strike for whatever reason they deem necessary for strike action." ~James Allan, Shadow Trade and Industry Minister |

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer. |
