| We need to give the people a choice in this matter! we should not force people into doing military service without giving them a choice of doing a civilian service instead. This will also help to reduce cost since they will be lesser paid and they will help work on civilian projects. |

Current: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
