Message | "Technically, this would permit conquest. This bill, should it pass, would allow for one of our neighbours to declare the entire Free Federation as their embassy, and the foreign office would have no power to override that decision. This would also allow for foreign embassies to operate against the will of Zardugal's diplomats. Forcing a foreign nation to withdraw it's diplomats and close it's embassy sends a very clear and precise warning, taking away the foreign office's power to order that is not responsible foreign policy." ~Ruben Memorial, Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister |

Message | "What the Liberty Party fails to realize, it might be that the their bodies are attempting to cut off what little oxygen gets to their brain in an attempt to save civilization I don't know, is that that foreign power would first have to purchase all the land in the entire nation of Zardugal to set it up as its embassy. Claiming that is nothing more than a primitive scare tactic. The option of forcing a country's embassy out of Zardugal is an act of barbarity. Nobody ever achieved anything by refusing to talk with them. Even the coldest, most barbaric nation in the world still has the right to establish a consulate here. That's what this is meant to do, take away the government's power to decide what countries are the 'right' countries, which shoud our government change we would presume would include several Socialist and Communist nations." -Grigori Huninyev, Second Secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party |

Message | But doesn't your government control the Foreign Office........ |

Message | "They might not purchase all of Zardugal, but declaring an entire Province as foreign soil would be a lot cheaper then a full scale military invasion. Besides, though we recognize communication is important, but in todays modern world any government that wishes to contact a foreign entity will find a way. Giving the foreign office the power to shut down formal embassies allows them to send a very clear message to the owner of that embassy." ~Ruben Memorial |
