Message | We've voted against this proposal many times before. Our friends in the DLJ have been very persistent about this, it is clear this is something very close to their hearts. We're supportive of a free-market economy and generally not in favor of subsidies. Yet, we are also concerned with the education of our people. We want to ensure they are the most knowledgeable, educated, open-minded, tolerant, and welcoming people in Terra. The DLJ thinks that this can partially be accomplished by the government ensuring that there are educational and informative stations on radio and TV. After a much heated internal debate within UCC, we've decided throw our support around this proposal this time. We'll give it a try. After all, what could the worst part be? Some additional money is spent, but our people are ensured an educational and informative media. We are willing to take that chance at this time. |

Message | We thank the UCC as well for the establishment of a national television and radio information act. As well the FMDP and CUF still seem to be the lone dissenters... Common ideas and goals working together I see. |
