Description[?]:
The French language is declared the official language of Rildanor and the sole language of government business. All government signage is in French only. All businesses and non-profit organizations, including religious organizations, shall be required to use French as their primary language of operation. All signs on shops and other businesses must be primarily in the French language. Any other languages shall be permitted only when placed below French signage, and the French must be in letters at least 50% larger than the other language. In granting permanent residence to foreigners, preference shall be given to French-speakers. Those non-French speakers who choose to live in Rildanor will be offered free French-language classes at government expense, but must pass a fluency test after five years in order to gain permanent residency or citizenship. |
