From | Centre Démocratique | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | This important proposal has been tied to other proposals in the past in which UCC had to abstain. Our supporters have been organizing a campaign to restore Christianity as our state religion and we must bring up this issue for debate and voting again.
A state religion unifies our people around common beliefs and moral values. A voluntary one shows respect for sceptics, other religions, and non-believers. We must bring back this great Jelbanian tradition. |

From | Centre Démocratique | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | UCC will not tolerate our coalition partners threatening violence toward our own party leaders. We seek a public apology to ensure that PBN is not condoning violence because of differing views on religion. If PBN is aware of such a threat within their own ranks, they need to make statement to their own supporters about the Jelbanian tradition of open political debate and respecting people of all beliefs.
Every member of every party in this great nation should feel comfortable stating their views without worrying about another party attacking them.
If an apology and an explanation are not made, this would threaten our support for the current cabinet. |

From | Centre Démocratique | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | So your party interpets "not bow"-ing to meaning inciting violence against political leaders? That is anti-democratic and thuggish. |
Date | 12:21:43, December 24, 2007 CET |
From | Bloc Militaire pour Restauration | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | we also find the threats of the PNB to be wrong, we tolerate your communist ideals, so you have to respect our religious ideals. We also might reconsider our participation in the cabinet if you don't apologize |

From | Démocrates de la Gauche | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | This is a landmark of the right if your party agrees to this we will not enter in coalition with your party until you renounce state relgion. Long live secularism! Long live freedom from religion! This will legislation will destroy you and your complete standing. |
Date | 04:49:13, December 30, 2007 CET |
From | Centre Démocratique | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | To the Social Democrats: We respect our differing views on religion and we should end the discussion there. In this time of political violence and assassination attempts, our parties should not be threatening to "destroy" each other or not form future coalitions.
We agree on a lot of issues and we should focus on those issues and not tear each other apart for our differences. It would be innapropriate for us to make a statement about your party voting against this legislation saying; "This vote is a landmark of the left and since you do no agree to this we will not enter into any coalition with the Social Democrats until you embrace Christ and a voluntary state religion. Long live Christ! Love live religion! This vote will destroy you and your complete standing." It is innapropriate for your party to make similar statements. We should have disagreements, but we must try to make them civil.
We must look passed our different views on a voluntary state religion and work to pass bills we both care about. We respect your party and look forward to working for the betterment of the Jelbanian people together. |

From | Parti Marxiste des Travailleurs | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | If this proposal pass, the people have to believe, if they not you will use violence I suppose? What's that? Peaceful? I will follow the PBN if this pass. And you can call it violence, but I call it "fight for the human rights". |
Date | 18:29:21, December 30, 2007 CET |
From | Centre Démocratique | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | This is a proposal for a voluntary state religion, not a mandatory one. No one in UCC wants to force anyone to believe something they don't. We want people to be free to join other religions or have none at all. However, we do want to recognize our Christian traditions with a voluntary state religion.
We are a pacifist party and do not believe in violence, therefore we will never use it to achieve our political objectives. You can look at our record and you have our word on that. |

From | Démocrates de la Gauche | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | Well I understand civility. But you want a state relgion! Ok so when the CUF wants to bring slavery back, we shouldn't hear you be outraged. But you want to take people's money and give it to a church! You want to steal a person who dosen't believe in your god's ideals and give it to your people! You are disenfranchising people. You beleive this will help your church but all blame will go to your church once you start to fail, it will take the blame away from government and give it to the church, which is state sponsored. |
Date | 23:07:29, December 30, 2007 CET |
From | Revolutionary Constit'nal United Front | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | We have been wholly uncertain about a voluntary state-endorsed religion and have planned to abstain, but since the Social Democratic Party chose to denigrate our good name yet again, we feel that this socialistic malice is rooted in godlessness and faithlessness--both things to be remedied by a state religion. We shall now support this bill. |
Date | 23:12:12, December 30, 2007 CET |
From | Centre Démocratique | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | This legislation does not involve taking people's money and giving it to a church. We would not support that. We are also not disenfranchising anyone. Everyone in Jelbania should decide their own views on religion.
And we believe a voluntary state religion religion is quite different from the enslavement of individuals.
People blame all kinds of institutions and groups for their problems: religions, governments, ethnicities, races, immigrants, etc. We do not know what you mean when you say "once you start to fail, it will take the blame away from government and give it to the church." |
Date | 02:15:06, December 31, 2007 CET |
From | Démocrates de la Gauche | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | Now we know enslavement is different we were giving an example, we were hoping a good faithful intelligent person such as yourself could distinguish between examples and the issues given. I was wrong, you cannot, and that was my mistake. And what I mean is that if the state is failing, a recession hits. The people will blame the church, they will blame a state institution for they are government funded and people will strike out against the church, and it will hurt religion in Jelbania. You are best to let chruch be independent of the state if you want YOUR religion to prosper. And to the CUF you have never had a good name, so what more is there to tarnish in what is YOUR name? Go ahead and support this bill, it makes you look like an incredibly moody person if your vote can be changed by using your "good" name. Definately not a point for you, but go ahead. |
Date | 07:41:06, December 31, 2007 CET |
From | Revolutionary Constit'nal United Front | To | Debating the Restoring Our Faith Act 2504 | Message | We can rest easy at night knowing that godless socialists think that we never had a good name. That means we have done well in fighting off the scourge of evil, moral depravity, and tyranny that is socialism. |
