Message | The government subsidises sports clubs because they have social benefits - they encourage community, as well as activity. The government isn't running these clubs, just providing the funds so that they can be run. We oppose this bill entirely. |

Message | why is it that sports fans expect the rest of society to provide them welfare to build stadia and fund teams? this is not an olympic funding bill, so it is only part of our society which benefits from such funding. the people who talk about welfare cheats unfortunately are the first ones to line up at the trough to get their share of corporate welfare, whether to fund a sports team or to subsidize a giant corporation already making more money than it knows what to do with. |
