it is the very definition of fascism that someone believes corporations or other strong centralizing gov forces should have all the power, and little people, whether they are unionists or people minding their own business in their own houses, should have none. although this bill got zero support last time, workers are restless in the streets and the revolution will not be televised. |

Message | I await any party to make a claim other than personal preference of why workers should have not rights with respect to their employers. I do not care if I stay at zero seats forever. this bill is going to keep coming back until I get some real answers. |

Message | Employees have rights. They have the right to strike if they have a good reason to do so. They have the right to appeal to the Courts if they feel they have been unjustly terminated. They have the right to seek other employment if their current employer is not meeting their needs. Why should employers have all their rights abolished by statute with regard to workers striking unreasonably? |

Message | Employees have rights, namely the right to be paid, the right to work in a safe and health environment, the right to for a union, the right to strike if labour conditions aren't what they should be. Employers have rights as well, they may expect the worker to turn up at work, and put his/her best effort in the job. In short, employees have the right to strike, within reasonable boundries, because we can't have people going on a pseudo-strike 'cos they just want the day off. Where would it all end? |

Message | We believe the right to strike is a well deserved and fought for right, and might be a powerfull weapon in negotiation and bargaining between unions with employers. And alhough in some cases a strike might be justified, mostly only the threath of a strike is used. It's a stick behing the door. But it should not be overused, 'cos that will only turn against itself. If a company is doing too good already, and can't pay high wages, unions should understand striking won't help their demands, as it will only drive the company further in the <bleep>. |

Message | it is clear I am still talking to a stone wall on this issue. I previously noted employers can always bring in scabs to get the job done until the strike is resolved. |

Message | Regarding scabs, I'ld like to note that many jobs are hard to find quick sufficient replacements for when a company is hit by a strike. I'm not talking about an ordinary electricians, but for example train technicians, or flight controllers,.. etc. These jobs often imply at least a year of specialised training, often provided and funded by the company itself as there are no such courses provided in college. |

Message | "it is the very definition of fascism that someone believes corporations or other strong centralizing gov forces should have all the power, and little people, whether they are unionists or people minding their own business in their own houses, should have none." BTW, we always advocated both parties should have a degree of power, as only in a balanced situation an ideal outcome can be negotiated. It is never good if one party dominates, neither the corporations nor the unions, as that will only lead to bad outcomes as one party will force their will upon the other party. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
