Message | This solves nothing, the entire healthcare system needs to be scrapped and revamped. Not one person should ever give anything in return for life and health. I've taken the liberty to write to the editor of a newspaper of the subject... "I support Dennis Kucinich for President because he is the only candidate in either party with a plan for Universal, Single-Payer, Not-for-Profit health care that will protect all Americans. And it will be cheaper and better than the crazy system we’ve got today. Do you ever get the feeling that we are paying too much for too little when it comes to medical care? We spend 50% more than the next most expensive nation (and twice as much as Canadians!) yet the World Health Organization ranks the US as 37th in the world for the performance of its health care system. Despite all that money, citizens of 34 nations live longer than Americans. Just the administration of the health care system alone consumes approximately 31% of the money spent for health care! America is the only developed nation that does not provide universal health care to its citizens. Dennis Kucinich has the political courage to change that and take the US from its ranking at 37th to No. 1. Support Dennis Kucinich – just for the health of it!" |

Message | You'll be paying more for state-insured health care through higher taxes to support such a clumsily large system that has no incentive to provide quality health care because the organizations providing it aren't receiving any income to expand and improve current services. |

Message | Property taxes in Canada are considerably higher than in the U.S. most of which pays for national health care. Nothing is free, so do you want to pay to keep people healthy or pay to cure them? |

Message | BTW CSA, I also like DK's ideas but I like Ron Paul's even more. |

Message | DLP, read the second paragraph of the letter again. You won't find ANY 1st world developed nation of the world with a private, for profit healthcare system other than the United States... which has the 37th best healthcare in the world. All the ones ahead of it have universal healthcare. You are completely wrong to theorize anything about quality other than the straight facts. |

Message | The straight facts demand that, like all things, profit drives the requirement to be efficient and to improve services. In a competitive market where each entity strives to out-do the other, no organization can afford to be lackadaisical or inhumane about healthcare. However, in a state-run health system, administrated by clogged bureaucracy filled with political cogs, have no incentive except political incentive to do anything for the good people who use the system. |

Random quote: "The Revolution needs to progress. We as humans need to evolve into higher beings through better moral virtues. And we can achieve that if we clean ourselves from the immoral. Those who go against the Revolution, go against human progress and must be freed in the most humane way possible. That is why we introduced the guillotine." - Maximus Robertson, former Davostani revolutionary |
