Bill: Peace and Reconciliation Cabinet

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Beluzia and Bailon

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2511

Description[?]:

The Civil War will end when the Communist Party, USCRA, and PDSP are certain that the people will be able to express themselves through the state. At this point, the bourgeois state makes this impossible. However, we are against the senseless killing of our people, and we wish to move towards peace. A cabinet of revolutionary and traditional parties is a necessary step towards peace. We tried to be fair in this proposal; we gave the Whigs their favored ministry, we gave the PPP their favored ministry, and we included every party. We do not see the logic in voting against this bill, unless a party wishes the violence to escalate.

MessageWe don't see this is blackmail. We were not implying that our party would escalate the violence, but if the government can't start to work towards peace, how can the nation?

MessageWe do once again applaud the communists for their attempt at peace. We feel that a lasting peace would be achieved if they accepted defeat, and were willing to accept that they are subordinate to Zog and the Captain.

MessageIts a start. But to be honest we dont want to work with the communist party, who have declared war on the people of Beluzia. We will work with anyone else.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.
