Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2512

Description[?]:

Education Reform to ensure a more prosperous and liberal Sekowo.

1. While education is good, and a valued tool for a prosperous nation, we do not believe it should ever be compulsory.

2, We always wish education to be accessible for those on low incomes, but we oppose fully subsidising those that can afford it.

3. We see no reason why we should leave nurseries to the private sector.

MessageWhile we would go for your subsidation changes, the other two are completly unacceptable.

MessageAlso your reason "While education is good, and a valued tool for a prosperous nation, we do not believe it should ever be compulsory" does not state why you feel that way.

MessageWe would probably vote for this, but pre-schooling truly needs to be left to local governments.

MessageLocal regions of Sekowo have their own traditions, customs, and ways of handling things, like childhood education. Those customs and worldviews should be respected and encouraged. Additionally, local governments are best away of what resources and struggles the region faces in regards to childhood education and they should best be able to determine for themselves what manner of education is most effective for themselves.

MessageThank you, while I may not agree, When you give a reason beyond "it should be local", it gives you much more credibility.

MessageEverytime I say "it should be local", this is the sort of the thing I have in mind. I will, however, try to take greater pains to make this clear in the future, noting your objection.

MessageWell frankly, early on in your formation, it seemed you were voting local just because it was what you do, you never stated why. Maybe you should add it to your party description.

IC was a different story, it was part of his bid to reduce federal government size. So, in the end, its quite important to know the reasons behind it, as two parties voting the same may have different motives.
