MessageThe population of Moslems is far too high. It was not long ago that we expelled all of them.

MessageThe Government never expelled anyone. Other religions were outlawed for a brief wile, but not all the agencies were supportive of the policy

ToDebating the Recensement national - Rildanor Census, 2511
MessageWhen compared to the previous census, this new one actually has a much reduced muslim and Majatran population, mostly due to the strict immigration laws now in place and the instability over the years regarding religion and ethnicity. Since the laws still allow the existence of other religions then it is very possible that many muslims have returned to Rildanor or converted.

ToDebating the Recensement national - Rildanor Census, 2511
MessageProbably should have a slightly higher Muslim population (the dramatic drop isn't realistic), but otherwise we support and commend the Parti d'Aristocratie for taking the time to do this.

MessageNice work. Is 100% literacy even possible though? Given laws restricting women from working in some occupations, maybe there should be a gender gap in literacy of some sort in this census, or more likely the next one.

MessageI've raised the Muslim population by a million which is reasonable considering 100 years of sometimes harsh xenophobic policies. The literacy rate has dropped back to 99%.

MessageA gender gap in lteracy is not likely as women are not completely banned from education, it's just certain jobs that they cannot perform.

MessageBelgium IRL has a literacy rate of 100%, I believe.

Anyway, I think that the population of religious minorities should be smaller. For about decade, we lived under the Act of Unifomity and had a compulsory state church. While I admit that emigration back to Rildanor would've occured (but it would've been more difficult due to our xenophobic policies), I still think that the number is inflated. Hell, even the UDL player was trying to get out of Rildanor and flee to Kanjor.

MessageAlso, why is our Moslem population basically the size of both the "Majatran" and "Mixed/Other" categories?

From Front Canrillaise
ToDebating the Recensement national - Rildanor Census, 2511
MessageIt's certainly possible that those who were forced to convert to Orthodox Catholic have converted back to their original religion. 3% out of 100 is hardly inflated. And besides, the threat of Islam needs to be present in Rildanor if only for interesting RP pruposes.

MessageThere would quite a number of Catholics who would've been alienated by the rampant oppression and dictatorship in the name of their church and would have either become protestants or neutral on the matter. Also, how would 5% of atheists disappear? We opted to stay and fight it out.

MessageYes, because there are always massive conversions whenever the Church does something that not everyone agrees with. Just like how all of those liberal Catholics in America, Canada, and Western Europe have converted to Calvinism and Buddhism and such because the Church condemns contraception, abortion, and homosexuality.

MessageMy party just doesn't really fit the political landscape of a Crusader State. I mean, it would be a far long shot for a bourbon monarchy but it is most certainly out-of-place in the Kingdom of Jerusalem or Principality of Antioch.

ToDebating the Recensement national - Rildanor Census, 2511
MessageThe thing is, if these are the religion figures, it means a lot of Christians are voting for parties that oppose the Church. In fact, half the support of my party must be Christians who want to ban religion entirely. That's a bit odd. The only way I can see to handle it is that there are many members of the Church who oppose the authority of the church -- sort of Quebec in the Quiet Revolution, in other words. It might require role-playing a strong dissident left-Catholic element. (Heck, the majority of Church members would be supporters of leftist economics, given the PSC successes.)

MessageI just conducted a few polls:

Elections: August 2511 (last)
Voters from: Entire Nation
Favoured party: Option Citoyenne
Participation: Voted

Opinion on Religion:

Fanatical Secular 14%
Extreme Secular 18.8%
Convinced Secular 16.8%
Moderate Secular 10.9%
Secular-leaning 10.9%
Religious-leaning 8.3%
Moderate Religious 4.3%
Convinced Religious 3.1%
Extreme Religious 7.8%
Fanatical Religious 5.2%

That means that 28.6% of your voters are religious, with 16.1% being fanatical, extreme, or convinced.

Opinion on Morality:

Fanatical Conservative 6.6%
Extreme Conservative 7.4%
Convinced Conservative 4.4%
Moderate Conservative 8.1%
Conservative-leaning 10.6%
Progressive-leaning 8.3%
Moderate Progressive 12.2%
Convinced Progressive 15.4%
Extreme Progressive 15.1%
Fanatical Progressive 11.9%

That means that 34.4% (over a third) of your voters are conservative with regards to morality, with 18.4% being fanatical, extreme, or convinced.

MessageThat's my thought yes. Many church members are "nominal" Christians only -- since the numbers of people whoa re actually religious is dictated by the game engine, and is not really a solid majority.
