Bill: Longer periods of government bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Solentian People Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2512

Description[?]:

Giving people in Head Of State and Cabinet a longer time to govern. 3 Years is abnormally short in contrast to our neighbours and will ensure that we get a longer time to pursue policies. I have decided to extend it by a few months to make sure more bills are put through parliament, 1 more year will see more being done and giving government the powers to make a difference, there really is little point with 3 years of government, there is proof that little is done by certain governments and I believe we should allow more governments more time to govern and make changes they wish, bareing in mind the parties are always accountable at election time.

Messageooc: I was reluctant to back this at first....however I would say that 3 years isnt a normal amount in Real life, and In order to make Solentian Politics a bit more realistic...I'll support.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
