MessageThis bill begins phasing in some of the budget recommendations from the budget discussion thread. It's pretty incremental, and emphasizes, at the start, defense spending. It also corrects the line item error in the last budget, giving T&I enough money to hire staff.

MessageBear in mind that this is an incremental process. Some wanted more of tax X, or less of tax Y. Some wanted less of this spending or more of that spending. Our first priority is to bring defense spending up to a reasonable level, which will take a few years.

MessageMore money for more programs. Why not? The voters that keep electing the MLP don't mind! Oh wait...

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
