WHEREAS, due to the lack of civil marriage laws, the current law only would permit a couple married in a religious or any similar ceremony to claim marital status. WHEREAS, certain couples, especially those of the same sex, may be denied a marital ceremony. WHEREAS, ensuring the pursuit of happiness and liberty in personal matters is not impeded on is one of the virtues of the Kanjoran Free State. We, THEREFORE, propose that the government of the Free State of Kanjor recognize civil marriage once more between consenting adults as part of a series of initiatives to remove government or institutional imposition of personal liberty. |
