Message | Head of state... aha! A ploy to further strip the people of self-government and put them under the heel of a highly partisan and decreasingly ceremonial autocrat. We will oppose, of course. |
Date | 02:57:41, January 11, 2008 CET | From | Front Nationaliste Royaliste | To | Debating the Acte des Autorités Exécutives Municipales, 2514 |
Message | We inquire as to the previous comment of the PDL. His Majesty the King is not "partisan" and it is a wonder that he remains impartial due to the determination of the Left to deprive him of his rightful place on the throne of Rildanor. |
Date | 04:00:12, January 11, 2008 CET | From | Option Citoyenne | To | Debating the Acte des Autorités Exécutives Municipales, 2514 |
Message | This appears to be contrary to the stated intention, when restoring the King, to make him a constitutional monarch. It gives the crown executive authority and ends local democracy entirely. We would like to know the views of the other monarchist parties on this rather surprising bill. |
Date | 05:11:21, January 11, 2008 CET | From | Front Canrillaise | To | Debating the Acte des Autorités Exécutives Municipales, 2514 |
Message | We continue to express our preference in a neutral and constitutional monarch. |

Message | The King has in most respects been neutral, and we applaud him for keeping his word to do so. We oppose this bill on the grounds that the King would not in actuality be appointing the maryors; the king would simply be concouring with the democratically chosen Prime Minister, someone who is anything but neutral, and rigtfully so. This may be fine in terms of the general mood of the Kingdom as a whole, but certain communities, espically large cites known for thier liberalism, would have conservative maryors forced on them; this is undemocratic and would cause a major problems in the towns and cities. |
