Message | Again, we are very interested in seeing this area reformed. We are seeking a consensus for this bill amongst the parties of the governing coalition, and also welcome input from the honourable gentlemen from across the aisle. |
Date | 02:53:37, January 11, 2008 CET | From | Partie Démocratique Libéral | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | The first four articles of this bill will degrade the availibility and quality of education in Rildanor, and we will oppose their passage. We could support the last two, however. |
Date | 03:58:27, January 11, 2008 CET | From | Option Citoyenne | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | You will have our support for making the libraries and museums national institutions. Not, however, for setbacks to public education. |
Date | 19:38:29, January 11, 2008 CET | From | Parti Radical et Radical-Socialiste | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | The college tuition and sex-ed articles we are opposed to, though the last two we support. As a suggestion, if need be the bill could be broken down and passed as two seperate bills. And it ought be known that while we disagree with the FNR on some of these points we are glad to see a return to reasoned diolague and debate. |
Date | 22:45:06, January 12, 2008 CET | From | Front Canrillaise | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | Article 3 is the only article we would support, but not the entire bill. |
Date | 03:07:45, January 13, 2008 CET | From | Parti Communiste de Rildanor | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | We can't see how this act, as presently constituted, could do anything but split the conservative coalition. The first three articles are absolutely unacceptable from a social Christian perspective, but the last three are articles of faith for our party. We plead with the FNR to split the bill into two halves. |
Date | 00:19:26, January 15, 2008 CET | From | Front Nationaliste Royaliste | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | If we split the bill, nothing will be accomplished. Its all or nothing. |
Date | 01:15:48, January 15, 2008 CET | From | Parti Communiste de Rildanor | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | Well then it's nothing, and on top of that you've split the conservative bloc on an issue that should be pretty clear-cut. |
Date | 03:38:22, January 15, 2008 CET | From | Front Nationaliste Royaliste | To | Debating the Acte de la Récupération d'Éducation et Culture, 2514 |
Message | Following the constitutional defeat of this bill, we shall propose separate bills for the various component principles enshrined in it. Also, we would like to point out that this bill has in fact united the two seemingly unreconcilable sides of the Rightist bloc (the PSC and PA) in opposition. |
