MessageOur major complaint is that the People Party, a significantly smaller and much, much younger party with far less experience in every field of the cabinet, will be alotted more seats than we are given. We have traditionally been a party to respect the Supreme President's wishes in his/her selection of the cabinet and give our support, but when we feel it is unreasonable or detrimental to the Federal Republic we will attempt to block its passage.

MessageWe note the FIPs issue, and should this bill not pass, that will be taken into account. The reasoning behind Sir Thomas Hill's choice of having the People Party holding Foreign and Defence is in recognition of their work for the Federal Republic in the recent war, or near-war in which, we migh still be in should they not have intervened.

The Trade and Industry post is more of a symbolic gesture, thanks to their usual policy of Privatisation one that we agree and support.

The FIP was granted Infrastructure for their familiarity of the role and our less-than-familiarity, and the Interal as it is one of the most prestigious roles in the Nation.

I have the most experience than any other party in Foreign Relations having prevented two wars that the SRNP caused. I don't think you are wise to say I am inexperience when I have a ton of experience in these areas, can you imagine what the nation would be like now if it wasn't for my interventions in possible wars? Well it would be half the size it is now, as other countries would have invaded, so whilst you may not want to thank me for this, the least you can do is respect my experience in these areas.

MessageOOC: If I weren't as busy as I am right now, I would definitely respond to several hot-topic debates. This response though, by the PP, has urged me to respond. I will indeed give a response sometime, but I'm not sure how soon it will be.

I'd just like to note that I've been playing Particracy since December 28th of 2006. And that I've been a player in Solentia since April 22, 2007. To say that my party hasn't done nearly as much in comparison to the PP is an outrage. My party has held the foreign affairs office the most out of any party in the Federal Republic's existance. There are many things that younger parties, such as yourselves, don't know about that happened while you weren't here. If some of the older, more veteran parties were still around, they would be able to recount my party's distinguished foreign affairs record in this nation. In fact, I still know one player that would be willing to vouch for me, and I will ask him to make an occurance to do so.

I love good RPing. But I want to make sure that if you guys are going to RP, you're going to realize that your party isn't the only one that has done something. You must remember the years and years before you came here.

Here I am.

Now then, none of you know who my old party was, and the only ones who would, would be the FIP and the IP. The FIP is a very old player to the game, older than my original party, made back in January of 2007, and I have served with them almost the whole time I’ve been playing. In since the very long time I’ve been playing, my party and the FIP have been in the same nation, except since I went inactive here in Solentia.

In Jakania, the FIP had been there under a different party name. When I and the FIP first arrived at Jakania, there was an Islamic Theocracy. Several other parties rallied around the FIP, another party who was there, and I in an attempt to overthrow the Islamic Theocracy. We succeeded, only to be beaten shortly after words by an anarchist party. Things looked grim, and after a good deal of groaning, we fought on, and started a new allied Coalition, the Allied Protectors of the Supreme Council, dedicated to protecting democracy, we fought on long and hard against the evils of Libertarianism.

The FIP was an extraordinary party to be lead by here in Solentia as well. They single-handily overthrew the Communist majority, then, together, we created the Federal Republic that survives until this day. After the Communists were beaten, the Nuncirist terrorists and his multi’s came in, and then the battle against the terrorist raged began. Under the guidance of Father Bailen, the terrorists were beaten at nearly every turn.

When the CPS started a massive blockade, defeating everything proposed to the parliament and attack the FIP, they were able to defeat the CPS, and, once again, restore Democracy to the Federal Repubic of Solentia.

Another important note, the FIP has held the Supreme Presidency more times than any other party. In addition, every time the FIP has held the position, the nation has been in excellent internal and external standing.

The FIP has controlled the Department of Foreign Affairs for nearly 65 years in Solentia, one of their greatest achievements in the department being the Solentian-Wantuni Friendship Pact. (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=653). This treaty showed that Solentia was a country that could be negotiated with, and could have a democratic government, and not by Nuncirist terrorists.

As you can see, the FIP has a substantially large and respectful résumé, and has done more throughout Majarta than you younger parties have done

Message"I have the most experience than any other party in Foreign Relations having prevented two wars that the SRNP caused."

People Party representatives,

Do you realize what you are stating? We are the oldest surviving party in Solentia. We are the longest serving and most veteran party in the Federal Republic's existance. We are the founders of the Federal Republic. Is this not a great acheivement within itself??! It is a foreign acheivement alone that the newly established form of government in the nation was able to survive from outside forces. Do you realize what the party members before me had to do to keep this Republic alive? No, you can't, because none of you care about the rich and vibrant past, the struggles and the hard times, the death and rebirth of the people and occurrances in this nation. You only care about what happens now and what you do.

It sickens me that you could have no respect for the founding men and women of this nation, primarily of this great party. You claim that your foreign affairs record, small and short as it is, rivals this party's history and its distinguished service. The party has dealt with nuncirists, communists, rebels, spies, terrorists, and much more and has each and every time won its battles.

The party, under the guidance and direction of the esteemed Father George Bailen, the first Supreme Archbishop and Supreme President of the Federal Republic, was able to heal the damage done by the nuncirists and regimes before us and re-establish relations between Wantuni and Solentia. This effectively ended the centuries long cold war. Is this not an important event? But you don't care because it didn't happen while you have been here. Unless you would propose we erase it from history to make yourselves look better, since you have never had respect for us.

What about when the nuncirists returned, after the founding of the Federal Republic? Who fought them off and gained the backing of many nations to help us win our war on terror? It was by the service of the Federal Independent foreign ministers and Supreme President who were able to persuade other countries to give us their backing. It was also the Federal Independents who were able to secure safety on a domestic platform which effectively blocked the terrorists within the nation and their tactics. We were able to fight off the communists who attempted to resurge back within the nation and communalize the nation once more. And we were able to retain the nation's young democratic state, which was in an uphill battle to fight for independence.

What about the years when the party worked internationally abroad, from 2399 - 2410 and from 2419 - 2427 to secure trade deals, treaties, and good relations with neighboring countries such as Cobura, Wantuni, and Jakania? Do these years no longer matter or exist? It would seem that way according to the People Party representatives.

What about when the Conservative Party of Solentia caused a government shutdown and was able to block any government legislation or enactments? What about when the CPS utilized its massive paramilitary to assault the federal government along with Federal Independent Party buildings, such as the Bailen Building, and slaughtered thousands of innocents? The Federal Independent Party rallied other parties to support it in ending the CPS' attacks. Under great Federal Independent General Wesley Clark, the Defense Minister at the time, the CPS paramilitary was repelled and captured. The CPS' corruption was put to a screaching halt and ended once and for all, forcing the party to retire itself from the national spotlight. The Federal Independent Party was solely the reason why the nation survived during this period of time. It coordinated all measures against the CPS and was able to lobby the Senate for its support, which it was immediately given.

This party has a very distinguished foreign service. We have served the public with everything we can offer them. The people have been very good to us over the years and many times so have other parties in the Senate, despite rivaling ideologies. We attempt to reach across the aisle, but it's hard when the other side refuses it, lies about us doing so, bashes us for our politics, and then sneers at us when we defend ourselves. We have held the foreign ministry more than you have ever. You can lie all you want, but face the facts and understand that we have built the foundations of what this country's foreign program runs on. We have served as the nation's premier foreign affairs party from 2399 - 2410, 2419 - 2427, 2444 - 2488, serving around 63 years of official service. We served the nation unofficially in other difficult times.

Not only have we labored to save this nation in its international standing, we have made the greatest impact on Solentian citizens' lives out of any political force in the Federal Republic. We effectively founded the Federal Republic when we arrived here. We overthrew the communists, despite their hard efforts, and set up the current society now existing, though it wasn't plagued by parties that were as ignorant and ungrateful as the current ones. We built the government's style, titles, routine, domestic policies, foreign policies, and the way parties interact with each other. Most of the nation's policies reflect what we made law back in the early coaltion during the beginning of the 2400s. But during our tenure, we have built upon our politics and have established a unique third way presence in the country, that is, different than traditional politics found anywhere around Terra. We have made Solentia a country rich with civil rights and liberties, have protected equality, and have encouraged sensible government run off of what is seemingly naturally right.

But this means nothing to you, correct? After all, most of this has happened while you were gone, though it still occurs today. You only care about your own "experience in these areas". How very hypocritical of your party to say we should at least offer some respect for your accomplishments when you REFUSE to acknowledge what we've done and how we've done it. You ran into this battle knowing nothing about us and criticize us for our record while you have nothing in comparison to us. "I have the most experience than any other party in Foreign Relations." This greatly aggrivates us all. It is an insult to say what your party has said. But of course, your party "has a ton of experience in these areas". You're all right, it's true, your small and infrequent time frame of service is much greater than our 63 years of service.

While you may have prevented "two wars" as your party claims, we prevented the death of the Federal Republic. If we had not defended the Federal Republic as we did, you wouldn't have needed to possibly prevent "two wars" because it wouldn't have existed. If we hadn't repelled the government coup attempt by the CPS, there wouldn't be a Federal Republic.

We have served every field of the cabinet at least once and have served them all well. We have won over the Supreme Presidency 12 times, have held the majority numerous years, and we have worked with every ideology imaginable to make this country work the way it has. We have hammered out an acceptable budget with Libertarian/Anarchists, reached agreements with royalists and monarchists, compromised with conservatives, liberals, centrists, socialists, nationalists, and many more. We have a proven record of working with everyone as long as they will return the professionalism we showed them. We are willing to make things work for the people rather than sit idely in office and waste the public's funds and taxes. Under us, the economy has thrived and we pulled the nation out of a very hefty deficit set by the nuncirists and communists. We created vast economic equality by refusing to tax the rich immensely and by defending the low-income from unfair tax systems. We have worked to create a successful and lucrative budget which is friendly for the people by covering our programs. We have helped nurture the enviornment, workers, immigration, unions, blue collar and white collar industry, established trade deals, and defended the equality everyone should have given to them at birth.

I can go on and on defending my party, but I don't believe you will care about what we have said and stand for, and I am under the impression that you could care less about this nation's vibrant past. So instead of wasting any more of my time, I will yield the Senate floor. I am proud of what my party has represented and who it has serviced and no one can take this pride from me. We have always represented our beliefs to the best possible and have always tried to understand others' ideologies as well.

I now take a moment of silence to commemorate this party and its long history. And I take a moment to thank all others who have been understanding of our beliefs and actions. I have immense respect for all of your who have great disagreements with our party but still continue to work with us hand-in-hand.

Thank you all.

Message(OOC: Thanks Jake.)

We thank our friends from the United Democrats of Jakania, a successful and prestigious party with a proven record, for vouching for us on this sensitive issue. It is an outrage we have been attacked so openly with such ignorance, and we couldn't be more thankful that a trusted old comrade and friend has rallied to our side to show that we veterans can stick up for each other. We are in your debt.

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.
