Message | i don't like most of that list because they are all too bland. they are all sports that another nation (probobally) has set as their own. i want to see something unique to Luthori. |

Date | 11:06:13, September 05, 2005 CET | From | Catholic Peoples Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Why does the sport have to be so special, unique or extreme. Whats wrong with common Football(soccer for ignorant), its the national sport of 80% of the RL world so it must be really good. |
Date | 18:07:03, September 05, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | why does it have to be somethong to standard, so trite? we want ourselves to be a unique nation, no? let's do something that nobody else is doing. |
Date | 22:46:16, September 05, 2005 CET | From | Social Calvinist Unionist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Extreme Basketweaving. I HATE Soccer. It's the spawn of satan, it is! How about Gladiatorial Combat? Non-lethal Gladiatorial Combat, of course. However, accidents DO happen... |
Date | 02:05:59, September 06, 2005 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | No-one else has Rugby League. Click on the link in the proposal to see what each nation has. Gladiatorial Games are taken, as is "Full Contact Chess"! |
Date | 03:09:44, September 06, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | "Rugby Republic of Hobrazia Kanjor Republic" and yes, read the wiki article (the particracy wiki, not the real wiki) on full contact chess. it's chess on a giant chess board, and for each contested square, there is a sumo-style fight for it, with adjacent squares allowed to interfere as long as they do not enter that square. |
Date | 13:38:50, September 06, 2005 CET | From | Social Calvinist Unionist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Dammit! How could they take Gladiatorial Combat? Hmmmm.... Think, curse you, think! A-HA! I've got it! How about "Extreme Contact Gladiatorial Sumo Bowling"? |
Date | 13:51:20, September 06, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | How would that work, you throw bowling balls at each other until one collapses outside the ring? |
Date | 16:45:20, September 06, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | I'll go for Sumo Bowling. and LLP: does it really matter how it works? |
Date | 16:57:20, September 06, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | actually, i've thought of how it works: it is played on an oval ring 25 feet long and 18 feet wide, with ten giant (8ft tall) pins set up bowling-style on either end. in order to win, you have to knock down all of your pins by ramming the other player into them. the game is played in rounds the rounds can end: -when a player is knocked into a pin (if a player is knocked into a pin, the round ends. if the player continues to knock over pins using the other player after they hit the first one, the offending player has all of his pins reset) -when a player is pushed off the ring (if a player is pushed off a ring, that player has one pin reset) each round starts with the player starting on their side of the ring facing their opponent in the center of the ring. |

Message | I suppose we go invent our own comedy sport and someone write a wiki page for it. The sumo theme ties in quite well with the shogunate era in our history. Not bowling though! How about full-contact Samauri combat? We could always use those godless clones you won't let me outlaw... |
Date | 00:32:05, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Social Calvinist Unionist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Ooooh, clones for entertainment... Brilliant idea! I like the bowling idea though... |
Date | 06:24:35, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Sumo jousting, two people (roughly the size of a modern jockey) on the backs of sumos, trying to knock each other off with baseball bats. |
Date | 08:46:14, September 07, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | while the sumos try to push eachother out of a ring. |
Date | 08:51:28, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Good touch. |
Date | 14:00:10, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Catholic Peoples Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | Your all mad *rolls his eyes* As say, go for a RL sport that no other nation has...although I still prefer Football. |
Date | 14:15:30, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | CPP: Of course I'm mad, although I prefer eccentric or legally insane. And on a side note, Rugby League is one of over a dozen sports known as football. But I am actually considering sumo jousting. Sounds like fun. |
Date | 19:32:27, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | I still like Rugby League, Cricket, or how about "Luthori Rules Football"? |
Date | 20:30:25, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Social Calvinist Unionist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | I got one! Archery. Sumo Jousting sounds awsome though. |
Date | 20:49:21, September 07, 2005 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | I would support archery. |
Date | 04:05:02, September 09, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | I support archery. Don't take this too seriously, but does archery duels sounds too crazy? You stand five or six hundred metres apart, first one to hit the other guy wins. Seriously though, archery goes well with the Kiji Shoganate/Silver Swarm vibe we have in the history books, since samurai were traditionally armed with bows, in addition to their other weapons. Up until they developed firearms anyway. |
Date | 07:54:56, September 09, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | archery? meh, it's a little too bland. klootchien might not be the best sport, but it's quite a bit more original than archery. |
Date | 08:44:25, September 09, 2005 CET | From | Catholic Peoples Party | To | Debating the National Sport Act |
Message | I'm quite okay with it... |
