Bill: Emancipation (for women)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Purpose Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2520
Description[?]:
A woman must be able to decide at any point during pregnancy that she cannot take care of the child, and have that pregnancy legally terminated. The idea that we can regulate Abortion simply by making it illegal is a a particularly twisted vestige of Supply-Side economics. You cannot stop Abortion simply by targetting Supply, because the Demand is still there. The Suppliers will simply move into back alleys or abandoned buildings, the top-notch medical equipment replaced with failing, rusted, harsh instruments, and the licensed medical proffessionals will be replaced by unlicensed vultures looking to score a quick buck from desparate women looking for a way out. And the Demand for the right to choose when and where, and in what circumstances you choose to start or expand your family will always be there, no matter what laws government may pass. Thank you for your time. |
