Bill: Call for early elections, May 2519
Details
Submitted by[?]: Likaton Coalition of the Willing
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.
Voting deadline: January 2520
Description[?]:
We, the AM One Nation, One Meria Party, call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus. This is because of the recent constitutional change to remove equal regional representation, and the influx of new parties who are currently seatless. |
Proposals
Article 1
Arrange early elections as soon as this bill passes.

Message | We disagree. If you keep voting for early elections, the smaller parties will never get a chance to find their footing. How can we properly judge the correct timing of a bill vote if we never know when the next election will be? Keep the current deadline. |

Message | On the contrary, those parties active have already made their stance on some areas of policy clear. This gives a chance to those parties to have a few seats, to allow them to develop with more meaning, before taking a full place in the following term. |

Message | Fine. But if we end up calling for early elections for the third time in a row, we should seriously consider shortening the term for convocation-seats altogether. |
