Bill: Last Resort Big Budget Cuts of January 2522
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alorian Public Union
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2522
Description[?]:
The Publitrican Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria. While our party does not run on a platform of budget cuts, we recognize how even now after our income tax raising, something else we did not wish to have to do, we still have a problem with deficit spending. With MLP refusing to raise taxes, and most other parties refusing to cut spending, and PRP often refusing to do eithier, we hope that Aloria's parties will rise above principles and do whats right; to govern by practicality rather then Ideaology. We thus propose to both cut spending and raise income taxes, one of which we have already done, neithier of which we wanted to do. At least doing both of them will ensure that both are done in moderation. We will make this compromise for the good of Aloria. Rest assured that the next election may significantly change things, however the current balance of power requires that for the time being we make compromise. |
